Bring Your Beats: How to Add Your Own Music to Spotify
We’ve all been there: you are building the ultimate playlist, but that one rare remix, live bootleg, personal voice memo, or indie track from Bandcamp is missing from Spotify’s massive library.

Whether you want to listen to unreleased tracks or old-school MP3s, here is your complete, step-by-step guide to adding your own music to Spotify.
Step 1: Set Up Local Files on Your Desktop
The easiest way to import your music is through the Spotify desktop app (Windows or Mac), which acts as the control center for your personal library.

- Toggle the switch to turn on Show Local Files.

Head over to Your Library in the sidebar, and you will see a new playlist titled Local Files. Click it to view every track Spotify successfully imported from your folders.
